Background
The partners have chosen two main topics: technological innovation and the Information Society for SMEs. In the field of innovation the partner regions should establish common challenges at different levels. Productivity and markers to measure the results of innovation could be improved, strategic planning by SMEs is insufficient and innovation policies should be included when drawing up development plans. The influence of the Information Society is decisive for structural changes in economic activity and leading to a profound transformation of society as a whole.
Overall objective / Objectif général
To establish initiatives allowing SMEs to gain access to technological intelligence or adapt science to meet their needs. To promote new tools to assist in processes of innovation such as networks and innovation groups. To establish methods for technological forecasting. To promote analysis and adoption of regional strategies for broadband implementation and to modernise public services for use by businesses.
Expected results / Résultats attendus
Increased impact of policies in the field of innovation; promotion of new, more efficient working methods in public and private sectors by capitalising on new technologies; improved efficiency of regional policy for promoting the Information Society; greater development of new service and content applications based on broadband infrastructure; modernised electronic administration for the private sector; promotion of transregional cooperation in the long term; identification and adoption of good practices.
